Neighborhood Volunteer
Opportunities
Welcome Wagon - Remember how it feels to be new to
a neighborhood and not know anyone or have information on
where to go and what to do? Consider being a part of the
Glen Meadows Welcome Wagon. How busy you are depends on how
many new neighbors we get.
Annual Block Party - Think this is
frivolous? Think again. According to the police, the more
neighbors know one another and look out for each other, the
safer the neighborhood. Our annual block party allows us to
get acquainted and fulfills a Crime Watch requirement.
Please join us each year at this event or volunteer to help
coordinate it or bring goodies to share.
Glen Meadows Website - We have a great
website. With so much information to add, it’s
getting hard to keep up with, but we continue on! If you
have information to share (history, photos, upcoming
events, etc.) please submit them to our Webmaster.
Meadowlark Newsletter - We can always use
help distributing our quarterly newsletter. Takes about 20
minutes or so. Article submissions are welcome, too!
Annual Spring Egg Hunt - OK, we
won’t start by asking you to be Peter Rabbit, but we
do need volunteers to lay...err...donate plastic eggs, hard
candy and help host the event. This is a wonderful
community service event for Glen Meadows families as well
as for patients at Presbyterian Hospital and residents of
the senior living center who enjoy a visit from Peter
Rabbit and the goodies he brings.
Yard of the Month - Decisions, decisions.
Please help vote for Yards of the Month. Neighborhood input
is vital to this prestigious award.
Let us know how you’d like to volunteer (if you
haven’t already.) On behalf of the Neighborhood
Association, thank you for doing your part in keeping Glen
Meadows such a great neighborhood.
