Glen Meadows Neighborhood Association
Entrance Landscape Improvements

Using a portion of the built-up reserve of NA dues collected, we have finally been able to begin enhancing the entrance landscapes! Kathy Byrd, a Glen Meadows resident, volunteered to take on the task of taking this project to fruition. After spending countless hours researching and meeting with various landscape architects, installers and maintenance companies, she presented several proposals to the NA board. The selected landscape company for this neighborhood enhancement project is Cross Creek Landscape and Irrigation.

Phase I is the entrance at Bermuda Dunes (going on right now!) It consists of inspecting and repairing irrigation lines, adjusting the lighting, tilling the soil, removing some older shrubs, planting new drought-tolerant plants, creating a stone border, adding landscape rocks, mulch, fringe flowers, ornamental grass and lots of seasonal color.  With water-restriction conditions still in place, this is the opportune time to make this change.

Phase 2 is the entrance at Falls Road. This is a larger project because of the amount of open space to expand the beds. However, maintaining our fiscal responsibility comes first. Work on Falls Road cannot commence until more dues are collected and our reserve is built back up. We need 100% participation! As a homeowner in Glen Meadows, it is critical that you lend your support!

Dues are only $125 per year per household. In addition to helping maintain the value of your neighborhood, there are many perks to being a NA member. You are eligible to win “Yard of the Month” and receive a $50 Home Depot gift card, be included in an upcoming drawing for a gift certificate to a local upscale restaurant, receive new neighborhood directories and other opportunities that are in the works. Feel free to contact melissanmi@yahoo.com with any questions you may have.

You can contribute to these and future neighborhood enhancements by submitting your dues. And many thanks to all of you who always have, and continue to pay your fair share.
